DECOLED — Story of lights Book a strategy call →

For summer venues done losing the winter.

We have brought 1,600,000+ paying visitors to places that were dark every winter.

Across 13 European countries. Most recently: Skypark Carlingford was closed November to March. We invested €300,000, designed a fourteen-installation walk through Irish mythology, and 40,000 people walked through in season one. We do the same for zoos, parks, castles and branded venues across Europe — with zero upfront from you, when the model fits.

No pitch deck. No catalog. We will look at your numbers, your audience and your site — and tell you honestly whether this works.

In-house design & manufacturing

We have the know-how to transform your venue. We start with your place — and build a successful seasonal business around it. Proven across every partner site.

How we work

Three ways we
partner with you.

01

Design

Your story, not a catalog. Every site we build starts with the place itself — Celtic mythology in Dublin, alpine folklore in Austria, a different theme for each of seven treetop walks across Europe. We write the script before we hang a single light.

02

Produce

Own production facilities in Czechia. Every installation — frame, light, control system — designed and built by our own team. No off-the-shelf kits, no third-party reseller chain. The thing that lights up your venue was made by the same people who designed it.

03

Partner

Long after the lights are on. We help with marketing and ticketing, refresh the decoration year by year, and share what we have learned about what works where. Most of our partners stay partners.

Built for real operators

Nine places that decided not to spend another winter empty.

Each story is a different operator, a different country and a different audience. The model is the same.

Honest answers

What every venue director asks us in the first call.

What does "zero upfront" actually mean? +

It means the procurement cost of design, production and installation does not appear on your capex plan. We co-invest because the visitor outcome — and the gate revenue model — justifies it. The exact financial structure is set in the strategy call once we have looked at your numbers.

Will this look like every other Christmas market in our region? +

No. Every site we build gets its own theme written from the place itself. Dublin is Celtic mythology, Austria is alpine folklore, the seven treetop walks each have a separate story. We refuse the catalog approach by policy.

Who runs it during the season? +

The split varies by site, depending on what makes sense. DECOLED owns the build, the year-over-year refresh, and the technical maintenance of the installations. Day-to-day visitor operations — staffing, ticketing, F&B, security — are handled by your team, who already knows the audience. We are flexible: more or less of the operational side can sit with us, the way the partnership needs.

What if the season underperforms? +

Because we have capital in the project, we are on the hook with you. The financial structure is built so the partnership only works when the outcome works. We will explain the exact mechanics in the call.

How long does the partnership run? +

Long-term. We do not run fixed-term projects. Most of the partners we started with years ago are still partners today — every season the story evolves, the audience returns, the partnership continues. The shape of the partnership is flexible (build, refresh, expand, refresh again), but the relationship is built to last.

Do you have a comparable project we can visit? +

Yes. Xantus János Zoo in Győr (Hungary) runs the "Wild Light Park" — a DECOLED evening light trail inside a working zoo, with a winter capybara enclosure visitors can interact with. We arrange a private site walk for serious enquiries.
